The Library

Right now we are in a little transition period with my position at the hospital so I have been able to stay home with Bella this week. We have done so many fun things together that I am so thankful for this break. I took her to story time for the first time yesterday at our local library. She loved it. We sang songs and listened to the Itsy Bitsy Spider by Iza Trapani. The storyteller was so animated and Bella enjoyed interacting with other kids We went back today and checked out a few books and CD's. She is really into music now and will say "Song" when she wants one of her CD's on in the car. We are tired of Laurie Berkner so we needed a few new CD's to add to the collection. I am happy to say she is now a big fan of Raffi!
Introducing her to the library brought back memories of my Mom. Ever since I can remember, every Saturday morning my Mom and I would go to the library to check out books. I remember her having to get the large print books because she had difficulty seeing, even that long ago. I have always loved to read and I am so happy Bella has such a love for books. I am glad to see that I am instilling some qualities into Bella that my Mom taught me.
Here are a few pictures of Bella reading with her Abu (Anthony's Dad) and Papa (my Dad). And a few other pics just because!
