First Official Week Solo!

Well I just finished my first week home alone with Bella. No Anthony, no in-laws just me, Bella, and Jupiter! The first few days were LONG days, I finally ventured out in the morning or early evening for walks which Bella loves. I slowly started using the bouncy seat more and swing more and Im getting around easier with the monitor. It is still going off, but each time we check on her she is fine. Needless to say Bella and I can't wait until Anthony comes home each night. Anthony has been EXTREMELY sleep deprived. One morning he woke up and said "Im going to hire a nurse to take care of Bella at night so I can sleep!" I think it was the extreme lack of sleep talking more than him being serious. It made me laugh though!
A successful day at home is making the bed, managing to eat something during the day, and not having a blow out diaper! A really good day is getting a load of laundry done!
Bella is officially 4 weeks old and growing a lot. She is getting really strong too. Bella has a "witching hour" so to speak from about 5-8pm. Not really colic just fussy and sometimes hard to calm down. She loves to be swaddled we have learned. We attempted to watch the DVD "The Happiest Baby on the Block" which some of our friends swear by! Well we tried some of the techniques and Bella is still not the Happiest baby on the Block! We've learned it just takes time, patience, and lots of love! She is a good sleeper at night and will sleep for about 3 hours straight. Not bad I must say.
We had our first official outing with Daddy today. We went and had lunch at the Ale House with our friend Liz, and a quick trip to Target for some baby necessities. Overall it was successful. I have officially breast fed in public! Hey my baby was hungry, she needed to eat. No worries, I was covered and actually surprised how easy it was. Driving with her is getting easier and I'm getting more confident with it. Granted we drive within a 5 mile radius with her.

Next week is a busy one. Monday is her EEG and Anthony is going to Mississippi on travel for work on Thursday through Saturday . Saturday is his birthday and even though he flies home that morning, he will still get to enjoy it by watching UCF play Boston College. Let's pray for a win, since Anthony hasn't seen many UCF wins on his birthday! Thank goodness for Anthony's parents they are coming to stay with me Thursday and Friday night while Anthony is away.

Well that's it for now. Enjoy the pictures of Bella. We have a lot!
