Hurricanes, Hospitals, and Houses

One hander cell phone pic

Hi Guys,
Happy Hurricane Faye Day! Okay not really ! :(
We are still totally out of touch with the weather, we just know that its supposed to be rainy and windy. We got up extra early this morning to go see Bella, not knowing what the afternoon would bring. Anthony changed her diaper and took her temperature perfectly. And I was able to breast feed her on one side. Then we just held her and cuddled with her as she slept. She still has had no episodes with the phenylbarbital which is good. They did have to put an IV in her head for her antiobiotics, b/c the one in her hand was leaking. It should be out today since this is her last round of antiobiotics. We headed back to RMH around 1030 to get some rest and do laundry. Depending on the weather we might go back later. If it's too nasty out we won't. We know she is in good hands and in a safe building. So that is our hospital post!

Onto hurricanes and houses! We are meeting a lot of people here at RMH who have really tiny babies that are very sick. Please keep them in your prayers. We know what it is like to be in their shoes and not knowing what's going to happen. A lot of them are from far away and don't have family or friends close by for support so it's pretty tough today. We heard a story today about a couple who just had a 1lb 2oz baby, and it brought back memories of Gabi. So please pray for them!

It was a little concerning when the shuttle took us back to the house today and there were sandbags all in front of the RMH! I know they are being cautious but still! All the nurses had flashlights, but I keep telling myself that they have generators and Bella will be fine.

Usually I would be glued to the TV watching the local news wanting to know exactly what to expect, but Im clueless. Anthony was able to bring our patio furniture inside on Sunday with his parents. So whatever happens happens. I just know that Bella will be safe.

Well that's about it for now, we will post again once we hear from her doctors.  Be safe!
