EEG Results

Hi Everyone, As many of you know Bella had her one month follow up EEG at the hospital this past Monday. Bella did very well during the test and we waited patiently all week for the results. I decided to give her Neurologist a call this morning to see if he had read the results. One of his nurse practitioners called back this afternoon of course right as we are in the middle of Costco! The results are in and her EEG in NORMAL!!! We are delighted with this news.  

They said they did not get a lot of sleep episodes from the EEG (she was dozing in and out) but what they did have they could safely say that she is seizure free! So what's next you ask? Well over the next 6 weeks we slowly wean her off of the phenylbarbitol. By the time we have an actual appt. with the Neurologist at the end of November it will be entirely out of her system. Her apnea monitor will be donwloaded on Monday and we should know the results of her apnea episodes at the end of the month when we visit her pulmonologist.  

So that's it! We are slowly on our way to a medicine free, machine free Baby Bella! Thank you all for your continued support and prayers!
