Apnea Monitor Update

Hi Everyone,
Today we got the results of the download from Bella's monitor. Out of over 150 alarms that we had only 2 were true apnea episodes! So our first question was "Why in the heck is it going off so much!" The answer the doctor told us was b/c she is growing, the monitor is not picking up true readings. That's why every time we went to check on her she was fine! So, we are graduating to the velcro band that will go around her chest. She has to wear it during naps, at night, and car rides only! Getting a hang of this might be a little tough since Bella isn't on a schedule and she can sleep during the day at any time. I think that means I'll have to undress her once she's asleep (which means she will most likely wake up) put the band on, then dress her, then rock her back to sleep. All for a nap!
We are very pleased with the good news. She will have the monitor until at least the end of December/January which is fine with us b/c honestly its our safety net and helps us rest easier at night. They said they won't take it away officially until she is out of the SIDS risk window and once we are comfortable enough with her not having it.
We will post a picture of her new velcro band soon.
That's it for now, I better take advantage of nap time right now and throw in a load of laundry! It actually IS getting easier, everyone was right! :)
